Frequently asked QUESTIONS

​How much are the HOA fees? 
Dues for the current year (2023) - $126.83 for non-lake properties and $253.66 for lake properties.
Each December the HOA board determines the budget for the upcoming year and whether to maintain the existing fees or if adjustment is needed in order to meet the expenses of the upcoming year. Property owners are notified each December of the fees for the upcoming year, which are due by January 31 of each year. A late fee of $25 is assessed for any accounts not paid in full by January 31.

​Where do I send my fees? 
Dues should be mailed by January 31 to LakePointe HOA, P.O. Box 1651, Scott, LA 70583 or remit via Venmo to @LakepointSubdivision-LPHOA.

How is the association served and governed? 
The association is served by a 5 member volunteer board members elected at the annual HOA meeting. Property owners are encouraged to consider serving as a board member or on ACC to ensure a representative voice is maintained. LakePointe HOA is governed the Articles of Incorporation, Rules and Regulations and Restrictive Covenants.

What does the association fees pay for? 
Dues pay for insurance, maintenance of common areas including ponds and fountains, book keeping, and utilities. 

What if I want to make changes, remodeling, or repairs to the exterior of my home?
​The HOA Restrictive Covenants require that any changes to the exterior of the home or property must receive prior approval from the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) The Architectural Control Committee is responsible for ensuring that all improvements within the subdivision contribute to the aesthetic appeal that was established in the initial development of the subdivision. Adherence to the ACC guidelines will help ensure that your property value is maintained, as well as a pleasant aesthetic environment.

Can I park on the street?
The City of Lafayette Ordinance (Sec.86-137) and the HOA Restrictive Covenants (2.12, 2.19) prohibit the parking of any vehicles, trailers, boats, etc… on any street for longer than 24 hours.  All homeowners should provide for parking of residents within their garage or driveway.  Parking in yards is also prohibited.
